I want to share feedback from my clients who recently returned from VIK Resort in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
I’ll be honest — I was very hesitant to book this resort, as the online reviews were not the best. It is a 3-star property, but during the Christmas period it was the only option that fit my clients’ budget, so they decided to go for it.
👉 The reality turned out to be much better than expected.
🔹 Rooms:
The rooms are a bit dated, and the bathroom is small, but overall it was manageable and acceptable for the price.
For two people, the room is comfortable. If three people are traveling, it’s more comfortable to book two rooms, as one room is best suited for two guests.
One important detail: one of the rooms was originally booked for a single guest who ended up not traveling. The resort had no issue allowing another guest to stay in that room, with no extra charges or complications. The room was simply reassigned, which was a big plus.
🔹 Food:
The food was better than expected. There were seafood options, including lobster. While it’s not a luxury or “fancy” experience, the variety was good:
– à la carte restaurants
– snack bars
– pizza
– drinks
No one went hungry.
🔹 Resort & Atmosphere:
The property is clean and well maintained, with trimmed landscaping and tidy common areas.
No bugs, no cockroaches, and no unpleasant surprises.
🔹 Entertainment & Service:
Entertainment was decent, and the staff were polite, friendly, and respectful.
Final thoughts:
For budget-conscious travelers, especially during peak season, this resort can be a reasonable option. It’s not luxury, but it offers good value for the price.

Tropical Breeze in Clearwater Beach

 Natalya: Bad personal experience!We booked this hotel because price and reviews was good.But when we got to the hotel we were not only one in room. Cockroaches 🫣😱were all over the place.Even if everything else in room was good we had to find something else.  Natalia:     Review from personal experience.Hotel has perfect location.Its in middle of everything.Hotel is really old.Staff were telling me that building would be tearing down soon but it’s still working.Rooms are dated mold in shover table and chairs couch look really old and scratchy.but sheets are super clean and staff are friendly always happy to help.Breakfast included in price and it’s pretty good but not big variety.View from balcony is just perfect if you have ocean front.Elevator wasn’t working really often.Pool is small but clean.Not a lot of lounges.Small shampoos and conditioners included but if its not enough ask front desk and everything will be provided.also there is couple chairs and umbrella at front desk.But its first come first serve.I would not recommend to sell it unless customers want it.parking was 18$ and right at the property.
