I recently stayed at the Riu Palace Tropical Bay in Negril, Jamaica, and it is an excellent choice for travelers who prioritize a stunning beachfront location. The resort features pristine white sand, calm and crystal-clear waters, and an abundance of starfish, making it perfect for beach lovers.
To the right of the resort, guests can explore a vibrant local market and charming beachfront bars offering fresh seafood, including delicious lobster. The local community is exceptionally welcoming and adds to the overall experience. On the other hand, to the left lies an adults-only resort with a private beach, which may not be suitable for families with children seeking to avoid unexpected surprises.
The resort itself is intimate in size, with clean and well-maintained rooms that include a stocked in-room bar. The dining options are varied and satisfying, and the resort offers activities such as kayaking. One of the highlights of my stay was an excursion to Rick's Cafe, which included snorkeling and swimming in nearby caves—an experience I highly recommend.
While not a luxury resort, Riu Palace Tropical Bay delivers exceptional value with its friendly staff, engaging nightly entertainment, and outstanding beach. This destination is ideal for those seeking a relaxing, authentic Jamaican getaway.

 Natalia:     Review from personal experience.Hotel has perfect location.Its in middle of everything.Hotel is really old.Staff were telling me that building would be tearing down soon but it’s still working.Rooms are dated mold in shover table and chairs couch look really old and scratchy.but sheets are super clean and staff are friendly always happy to help.Breakfast included in price and it’s pretty good but not big variety.View from balcony is just perfect if you have ocean front.Elevator wasn’t working really often.Pool is small but clean.Not a lot of lounges.Small shampoos and conditioners included but if its not enough ask front desk and everything will be provided.also there is couple chairs and umbrella at front desk.But its first come first serve.I would not recommend to sell it unless customers want it.parking was 18$ and right at the property.
